We feed the ultra de-ionized water from our water treatment plant into two high-pressure boilers that are normally heated by burning coal. The high-pressure boilers have a production capacity of 280 tons of steam per hour. We pipe steam to our PTA plant for our PTA production, to customers and pipe the remainder of the steam to the steam turbine that generates up to 55 MW of electricity. The electricity used to power our PTA plant, sold to customers and to EGAT.

Our water generation unit treats and purifies the raw
water we receive from the Industrial Estate Authority
of Thailand into treated water, which we treat further
to create de-ionized water and ultra de-mineralized water.
We use a portion of the de-mineralized water in the PTA production process and the ultra de-mineralized water for
use in the cogeneration unit.
